The following appendixes supplement the COVID-19 information displayed in the June 7, 2020 Brief.

Tests per 100,000 Population
Calculating the ratio of COVID-19 tests to a state's population is an equitable way to compare one state to another. It is computed by dividing the number of reported tests by the state's population, and then multiplying that number by 100,000. For this data set, we included the calculated U.S. ratio plus reported data from all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
